Cornerstones for Writing is a resource designed to improve children's writing skills at Key Stage 2/Primary 4-7. It provides full coverage of the National Literacy Strategy and National Curriculum writing objectives, offering a clear five-step approach to writing: analysis of model texts, planning, drafting, revising and publishing. Cornerstones for Writing offers materials for teaching extended writing over a range of text types, for different audiences. Activities are offered at three levels of ability.
The Teacher's Book offers comprehensive guidance on conducting shared sessions, guided writing and plenaries. It includes photocopiable assessment sheets, writing frames and homework suggestions.
