One of the main questions raised is to assess whether or not faculty who teach on-line courses perceive their current method of student course evaluations as an effective tool. There is a definite lack of information regarding the effectiveness of student course evaluations for on-line courses. What is the perception of faculty regarding the effectiveness of the current tools? Should these on-line courses use the same student evaluation tool that is used in the traditional lecture courses? Are there issues and concerns within the on-line teaching environment that should be addressed in such tools? Many institutions have adopted the criteria already in place for traditional courses to be used for their on-line courses. As the number of college and university programs that are integrating on-line classes continues to increase, the issue of course evaluation methods may raise many questions.

Приемы комического в языке произведений П.Г....
Буквальное понимание идиом – излюбленный прием Вудхауза. ‘You’ll be able ow o give i as your co sidered opi io ha he ma is as loo y as a coo , sir Roderick’ A pause e sued duri g which Pop Glossop appeared o be weighi g his, possible hi ki g back o coo s he had me i he course of his professio al career a d ry o es ima e heir dopi es as compared wi h ha of W.Cream. (“Jeeves i he Offi g”) Выражение as crazy as a coo , понятое буквально, помогает достичь комического эффекта. Или. ‘ he oil seems o have go e off he boil. Yessir, if ha was he la guage of love, I’ll ea my ha ’, - said he blood rela io , alludi g, I ook i , o he beas ly s raw co rap io i which she does her garde i g. (“Jeeves i he Offi g”) Здесь один из компонентов идиомы I’ll ea my ha – I’ll be very surprised,

|Students’ Knowledge of Functions in an Online Mathematics Course. A Case Study of College Algebra Students Книга по Требованию Behnaz R. |
On the other hand, research studies have done little to examine students' knowledge of functions and their difficulties in an online environment. Understanding students’ knowledge and difficulties with this notion in an online environment can contribute significantly to finding ways to guide students’ conceptual learning in a virtual setting. The purpose of this study was to gain insight into college students’ knowledge of functions and explore the difficulties they may have with this notion in an online learning environment. The research and the analysis put forth in this study are specifically useful for professionals in mathematics education, mathematics faculty who may be considering teaching in an online environment, and graduate students conducting research. The belief that the concept of function should be a central point in mathematics is not a recent phenomenon. Today there is a paradigm shift in attitude towards online education, therefore, online learning compels mathematics education to change its focus, organization and use of technology. Many researchers have acknowledged the difficulties students face in learning the concept of function in face-to-face classroom.
