At first, IFE consisted of looking out the window. High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! In-Flight entertainment refers to the entertainment available to aircraft passengers during a flight. In 1936, the airship Hindenburg offered passengers a piano, lounge, dining room, smoking room, and bar during the 2-1/2 day flight between Europe and America. After the Second World War, IFE was delivered in the form of food and drink services, along with an occasional projector movie during lengthy flights. In 1985 the first personal audio player was offered to passengers, along with noise cancelling headphones in 1989.

Contrary to the "black box" reference, the exterior of the FDR is coated with heat-resistant bright orange paint for high visibility in wreckage, and the unit is usually mounted in the aircraft' s empennage (tail section), where it is more likely to survive a severe crash. It is a device used to record specific aircraft performance parameters. In some cases, both functions have been combined into a single unit. Another kind of flight recorder is the cockpit voice recorder (CVR), which records conversation in the cockpit, radio communications between the cockpit crew and others (including conversation with air traffic control personnel), as well as ambient sounds. Popularly referred to as a "black box," the data recorded by the FDR is used for accident investigation, as well as for analyzing air safety issues, material degradation and engine performance. Due to their importance in investigating accidents, these ICAO-regulated devices are carefully engineered and stoutly constructed to withstand the force of a high speed impact and the heat of an intense fire. A flight data recorder (FDR) (also ADR, for accident data recorder) is a kind of flight recorder.

In Car Entertainment systems have recently come into the limelight through TV shows such as MTV' s Pimp My Ride. High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! In-Car Entertainment, sometimes referred to as ICE, is a collection of hardware devices installed into automobiles, or other forms of transportation, to provide audio and/or audio/visual entertainment, as well as automotive navigation systems. Also increasingly common in ICE installs are the incorporation of video game consoles into the vehicle. This includes playing media such as CDs, DVDs, Freeview/TV, USB and/or other optional surround sound, or DSP systems.

|Helicopter Flight Controls Книга по Требованию Frederic P. M. |
The changes made to the flight controls are transmitted mechanically to the rotor, producing aerodynamic effects on the helicopter' s rotor blades which allow the helicopter to be controlled. For tilting forward and back, or tilting sideways, the angle of attack of the main rotor blades is altered cyclically during rotation, creating differing amounts of lift at different points in the cycle. For increasing or decreasing overall lift, the angle of attack for all blades is collectively altered by equal amounts at the same time resulting in ascents, descents, acceleration and deceleration. A typical helicopter has three separate flight control inputs. These are the cyclic stick, the collective lever, and the anti-torque pedals. Depending on the complexity of the helicopter, the cyclic and collective may be linked together by a mixing unit, a mechanical or hydraulic device that combines the inputs from both and then sends along the "mixed" input to the control surfaces to achieve the desired result. High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! A helicopter pilot manipulates the helicopter flight controls in order to achieve controlled aerodynamic flight.
